Taylor Public Schools Foundation for Educational Excellence

The Taylor Public School Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and was established in 1986. It is made up of volunteers from businesses and the community to raise funds above and beyond the School District operating budget. It supports a variety of educational programs throughout the school district, K through 12, to enhance the education of our Taylor Public School students.

In addition to awarding scholarships, examples of other educational projects the Foundation supports are: the distribution of Principal and Teacher Grants, supporting the Career and Technical Center Robotics Program, Quiz Bowl Programs, and the School District Fine Arts by sponsoring field trips to plays and music events in the Detroit theater district.

In the last 10 years, the foundation has awarded over $300,000. This includes more than $200,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors and more than $100,000 towards grants and other projects.
