November 29th, 2022 Lisa Schulte, a 6th-grade science teacher at West, brought her students to the Taylor Career and Technical Center for a visit. The students completed career readiness and exploration activities before attending the trip and did research on each of the 13 programs our career center offers.  The students toured all of the programs and then spent an hour in one class of their choosing. The CTE teachers and current CTE students from each program welcomed them into their classrooms, labs, shops, and restaurant and engaged with the West students. The CTE students took on leadership roles showcasing their work, teaching the students what they have learned, and working on hands-on projects with them. After their hour in the class, they also ate lunch with the CTE staff and got to ask questions and learn more about the career pathway they chose. It was a wonderful day. Great things are happening in Taylor.
