Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the career center. Our  building raised $200 for the griffin food pantry ornament sale. With the students from Mr. Weatherholt and Mr. Boughton's job skills class winning the contest for most sold. Our welding students displayed their tree that they made in our lobby. It looks beautiful please come check it out if you can. Our students of the month were catered by our own culinary program for a celebration of their hard work. The culinary students also sold over 5,000 cookies (that they are making) in their Christmas cookie fundraiser. Smells delicious down there!! For the 12 days of Christmas we have a visitor, Fred the elf on the shelf. He has been visiting and hiding in all of our programs. The students have been taking pics with him and tagging our facebook page to be entered in a raffle for some wonderful prizes. Our buddy day on Dec. 14th went great. Underclassman visited our programs with a buddy and took part in some hands-on lessons with the teachers. Chris Johnson, visiting the nursing assistant program, won our buddy day raffle. It has been a great month here at the career  center and we wish all of our students, staff, and families, a wonderful holiday and a great, well deserved, break.
