Taylor School District is partnering with the Special Olympics to hold its inaugural Taylor Unified Special Olympics Day on May 20 at the site of the Board Annex and the old Taylor Kennedy High School.
The event joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. In Unified Sports, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability.

When it comes to inclusion, the Taylor School District is striving to be all in.
As preparations move forward for the district’s biggest day displaying unity and embracing all students, no matter their skill level, Taylor school Supt. Griff Mills guarantees people won’t see a more rewarding event.
