Understood

Understood-for learning & attention issues

If you have a child who has learning or attention issues, Understood at understood.org is a great website to check out if you have a child who has learning or attention issues.  It offers simple solutions and advise for parents dealing with many actual situations that might come up with your child.  They have a parenting tool-kit where you can choose an issue that you might be having at home, and it will give you the actual words that you can say to help resolve the problem.

wonderopolis

Have you ever wondered how icicles are formed, or do squirrels really fly, or how were birthstones chosen for each month?  There is a great place you can visit that will give you the answers to these questions and many more.  It's Wonderopolis!  This is a great website.  Each day a new wonder is asked and then answered.  You can sign up for the wonder of the day to be sent to you by email and then you can discuss it together as a family each day.  You can also submit your own wonders and maybe yours will get chosen to be on their website.

In the column to the right you will see that I have also made a list of other educational websites to visit. Click on that link and it will take you to the page.
