We had a very successful first week opening the pantry.  Eight families were assisted with food to take home in backpacks.  The smiles on the students' faces made all the hard work so worth it.

We also had six employees from Jet Blue Corporate Social Outreach visit our pantry to bring donations. The DECA students presented their PowerPoint presentation to them.  Jet Blue is planning a bigger food donation campaign involving staff... stay tuned (awesome prizes).

Below are a variety of some pictures highlighting some of various activities of  Truman's CTE business students. The creation of the Cougar Pantry and the safe Halloween/Business expo event that we had for the community. Students took a trip to Skyzone where they learned about running an entertainment business.  Part of the fun included putting together marketing mix mini business plans and presenting them in a shark tank style format.  Students wanted to do community service and find out how a pantry runs before getting started on the Truman pantry so off to Gleaners they went.  Employees of Truman's school store hosted a visit from Crestwood students to give them a tour and help them plan for the store they will be starting next year at their school.
