Our Belief Statements

We believe that all students can learn in a school which is safe, up-to-date, and healthy with a caring atmosphere.

We believe that all children have the ability to learn, but at different rates and ways.

We, as adults, role models, and teachers, must demonstrate and foster an environment that encourages and recognizes respect for individuals and their environment.

We believe that family, school and community involvement is essential to the development of the "whole child."

Decision making, problem solving and goal setting skills will be taught and used daily by all Taylor Parks students.

Children are our most valuable natural resource.

Taylor Parks Elementary School serves approximately 420 students ranging from Kindergarten through sixth grade.  We are a two-story building which houses sixteen general education classrooms, three self-contained special education classrooms, two learning resource rooms, a computer lab, music room, library and gym.  All of our teachers are highly qualified and in compliance with the No Child Left Behind mandates.  Other part time staff members include a speech and language teacher, hearing impaired teacher, bilingual teacher, a social worker and a psychologist.  We are also fortunate to have the support service of 22 other staff including a secretary, academic teaching assistants, aides, cooks, maintenance and several lay personnel.  All members of the staff work together to make Taylor Parks a safe learning community for our families.
