University of Myersville Information and Objectives

Who we serve

We serve 100 youths in grades l-5 for 32 weeks. The program will be divided into three sessions, not including summer.

Program Hours

Our hours are M-F from 3:05pm to 5:30pm during the school year. Summer sessions will be M-F and will run for four hours a day.

Who is Eligible?

Student eligibility is based on family income. If you receive cash assistance, Medicaid or Food Assistance, or if your child receives a free or reduced lunch at school, they are eligible for this program.

The objective of the University of Myersville after-school enrichment program is to provide after-school and summer services which will incorporate the following:

Academic Enrichment: Provide homework assistance and tutoring in the areas of computer skills, science, social studies, reading and math.

Cultural/ Recreational Enrichment: Provide by contracting vendors and include, but is not limited to, the following: dance, sports, games, art. music, drama, and summer field trips.

Personal Enrichment: Provided by contracted vendors and include chemical abuse awareness and prevention, violence prevention, leadership development and anger management.

Parental and Family Support: Monthly parent nights and quarterly family nights.
