 Behavior

Every Hoover student must be aware that the following behaviors could result in a short or long-term suspension from school:

  • Gang Involvement
  • Negative YouTube and MySpace involvement
  • Cutting class
  • Insubordination
  • Fighting
  • Gambling
  • Vandalism
  • Possession of drugs and /or alcoholic beverages
  • Dress code violations
  • Smoking
  • Extortion
  • Misconduct in the cafeteria, auditorium, halls or lavatories
  • Display of affection, including holding hands, kissing, hugging, etc.
  • Excessive absences or lateness
  • Constant disruptive behavior
  • Intimidation and verbal abuse
  • Theft
  • Possession of a weapon
  • Leaving the school without permission
  • Safety infractions
  • False fire alarm
  • Use of profanity (written or spoken)
  • Disrespect shown to any adult in the building or on school grounds
