Special education aides, or paraprofessionals, are the men and
women who work with teachers and students during the school day.
They have a variety of responsibilities, some of which include:

Assist teacher with academic and behavior
needs.

Assist teacher with clerical duties.

Assist students to and from school areas.

Assist with hygiene for students that need
help in this area.

Help POHI students as needed.

and many more.
Aides hired after 1/8/02 must have met the NCLB
requirements prior to being hired and employees hired before 1/8/02
must have met NCLB by 1/8/06. |
